Wage parity

Home Care Worker Wage Parity was passed into New York state law in 2011. It established a minimum wage for home care aides who perform certain Medicaid reimbursed work within New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester.

While requiring a minimum rate of Total Compensation, the law provided some discretion to employers in the way in which they comply, making way for the provision of benefit programs.
